Our Story
The Beginning
In 2018, I left my position as a software engineer to pursue building my own vision. The excitement kept me working 18-hour days, sleeping only 4-5 hours. I poured everything into the project for 5-6 months.
Then I unexpectedly lost access to all my development infrastructure. Everything I'd built was suddenly inaccessible. I had no backups, and even if I had, I couldn't afford to replace the on-premises hardware I'd been using.
To pay off debts and support my family, I had to return to a salaried job. It took 20 months to regain access to my work. During that time, I drifted far from my dreams, living with uncertainty and mounting financial pressure.
The Turning Point
Years later, I kept thinking about what I could do to prevent such a problem from happening again. I needed a tool that would allow me to move my systems to another environment whenever I wanted, activate them whenever needed, back them up easily, and store them securely no matter where I moved them.
In 2021, I discovered Docker through NetworkChuck's video. I was shocked by what was possible. I wished I had known about this technology earlier—it could have changed everything.
But Docker alone didn't solve all my problems. Moving container files between systems was difficult. I faced file ownership compatibility issues, and as data size grew, transfers took longer. Most critically, I had to keep services offline until migration finished, and Docker offered minimal security features.
Birth of Rediacc
It all started with developing a portable filesystem logic. From there, I integrated a backup module. Then came one of the most critical challenges: enabling live system transfers with minimal downtime, regardless of data size. I added unique features based on real needs.
